Air source heat pumps in Tamworth

Working in Tamworth

Tamworth has its Norman castle and historic centre, but most homes date from the town's post-war expansion, with large estates at Glascote, Wilnecote, Amington and Belgrave, and newer development around the edges of town near the A5 and M42.

Cavity-wall semis in Tamworth, once insulated, are often good candidates for an air source heat pump with a few radiator upgrades. Tamworth's post-war semis typically have uncomplicated roofs that suit solar, with room for a battery in the garage or under the stairs.

For Tamworth (B77, B78 and B79), planning applications are handled by Tamworth Borough Council, and highways matters such as scaffold licences, skips on the road and dropped kerbs by Staffordshire County Council. Our yard at Kimberley Business Park is about seventeen miles away through Lichfield.

How we work

We calculate heat loss room by room, check the radiators, then specify a heat pump and cylinder that match the house. Oversized units waste money and undersized ones leave rooms cold, so the design stage matters.

Positioning the outdoor unit is about noise, airflow, neighbours and pipe runs. We agree the location with you and check whether it falls within permitted development limits.
