Working in Stafford
Stafford is the county town, with a historic core around the Ancient High House and Greengate Street, streets of Victorian terraces off the Lichfield and Newport Roads, and larger estates and new developments at Wildwood, Baswich and Burleyfields.
Stafford mixes period town houses, where pipework and flue routes can be awkward, with modern estates where a straightforward combi swap is the usual job. Some rural homes nearby are off the gas grid, where a heat pump is worth comparing. Stafford's Victorian and Edwardian houses near the town centre often have long pipe runs and older radiators, while estates such as Weeping Cross and Baswich are mostly simpler combi replacements.
For Stafford (ST16, ST17 and ST18), planning applications are handled by Stafford Borough Council, and highways matters such as scaffold licences, skips on the road and dropped kerbs by Staffordshire County Council. Our yard at Kimberley Business Park is around ten miles from Rugeley along the A513 and A51.
How we work
A new boiler on a dirty system will not last, so on every installation we cleanse the system and fit a filter, then set up the controls and show you how to use them before we leave.
Because Margav Energy also installs heat pumps, solar PV and batteries, we can plan a boiler replacement with the future in mind, for example by choosing controls that will still suit a hybrid system later.
