Working in Stafford
Stafford is the county town, with a historic core around the Ancient High House and Greengate Street, streets of Victorian terraces off the Lichfield and Newport Roads, and larger estates and new developments at Wildwood, Baswich and Burleyfields.
Stafford mixes period town-centre properties with modern estates, so in a single week we might be lead-flashing a Victorian chimney and replacing the dry verge on a house built ten years ago. Stafford's Victorian terraces off the Lichfield and Newport Roads often have slate roofs and brick chimneys in need of lead and pointing, while Wildwood and Baswich homes mostly have concrete tiles.
For Stafford (ST16, ST17 and ST18), planning applications are handled by Stafford Borough Council, and highways matters such as scaffold licences, skips on the road and dropped kerbs by Staffordshire County Council. Our yard at Kimberley Business Park is around ten miles from Rugeley along the A513 and A51.
How we work
We inspect from scaffold or a safe access point, photograph what we find and talk you through it, so you can see why a repair or replacement is recommended. Because scaffolding comes from our sister company, Staff4dshire Scaffolding, access is booked in-house and we avoid the usual wait for a third-party scaffolder.
Every quote is itemised: what will be stripped, which materials go back, how the verges, ridges and abutments will be finished and how the site will be left. We work to the roof, not to a template, and we tidy and magnet-sweep the ground at the end of each day.
